A Few Updates

A big thanks to all the parents who came to conferences this week!  We had full attendance and I was able to give everyone an update on their child's progress and where we are headed.

Speaking of where we are headed; going forward, we will try to have a monthly book report/ project of some kind.  For our first book report/ project, students must have a book selected by this upcoming Friday, November 13th.  I must approve their book selection before they begin the assignment.  This is perfect timing as well because our book fair is scheduled for that Friday.

Students will have until Friday, December 18th to complete their book and complete their 'Outside the Box Project'.  They will be creating a cube to share information about their book with our class.  Each face of the cube will require students to fill out various information.  Their finished projects will look something like this:


As we have started our new math unit on fractions, the big concept and understanding that students should be working on is finding the least common denominator.  Some videos for reference-
